Kulai: Nenek maut dipenggal cucu di Felda Pengeli Timur di sini, petang tadi.
Dalam kejadian 6.30 petang itu, Maimon Abdul Samad, 76, ditemui dalam kedaan ngeri di rumahnya termasuk kepala yang dipenggal berada di hadapan pintu masuk rumah.
Ketua Polis Daerah Kota Tinggi, Superintendan Rahmat Othman berkata, mangsa yang juga suri rumah itu dipenggal cucunya berusia 19 tahun yang tidak bekerja dan dipercayai mengalami gangguan mental serta tidak makan ubat sejak beberapa bulan yang lalu.
“Mangsa ditemui dalam keadaan kepala dipenggal dan berada di hadapan pintu masuk rumah, tubuhnya di ruang dapur di bawah singki.
“Kedua-dua kaki dipotong di bahagian peha tetapi tidak putus dan kedua-dua tangan dipotong, namun hanya sebelah kirinya masih berada di sisi tubuhnya,” katanya.
Beliau berkata, hasil siasatan awal mempercayai senjata yang digunakan suspek adalah pisau berukuran kira-kira 15 hingga 18 sentimeter dan ditemui di dalam pasu bunga di luar rumah.
Katanya, suspek melarikan diri ke ladang kelapa sawit berhampiran, namun usaha memburunya membuahkan hasil apabila ditahan 8.30 malam tadi.
“Kes disiasat mengikut Seksyen 302 Kanun Keseksaan kerana membunuh,” katanya
